System Application Features
- Required flow rate: 60 – 140 m³/h
- Handled fluid: Polluted and dirty stormwater
- Head: Variable based on backpressure
- Discharge pressure: +0.5 / 1.5 bar
- Flow regulation: via discharge valve
Application Context
By bottom-filling, the system head varies according to pump flow rates and backpressure. Thanks to their self-priming capability and operation without a foot valve, these pumps allow installation with variable suction heights, thus avoiding clogging, loss of prime, and system downtime.
Additionally, dry installation and coupling with standardized IEC motors make Varisco pumps an optimal solution for facilitating maintenance interventions and ensuring maximum operability even in critical and potentially explosive environments.
Technical Training and Visit to the Varisco Facility
Varisco Italian Team was pleased to host Tommaso Nencini and Daniele Conti, from the Technical Office and Maintenance Department of Costieri d’Alesio S.p.A., at our headquarters in Padova, Italy
The visit was organized on the occasion of the technical refresher training led by Carlo Recaldini, Varisco Product Specialist and Business Development Manager for Team Italy, titled "Concepts and Theory on the Use of Internal Gear Pumps and Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps."
During the course, the operating principles, practical applications, and best practices for installation and maintenance of these technologies were thoroughly discussed.
The training also provided a detailed analysis of the technical and performance characteristics of Varisco pumps, with particular focus on efficiency and reliability, hallmarks of our solutions.
Following the course, Luca Olivotto (Business Line Manager), Mattia Gobbi (Sales Area Manager), Alberto Zaggia (Service Sales Specialist), and Alessandro Gamba (Technical Support) further enriched the session with insights on company organization and Varisco’s certified original spare parts and maintenance services..
Factory Tour and Visit to the Research and Development Center
During the day, the guests were guided through our factory by Federico Gomiero, Method Engineer, to closely observe all the stages of the Varisco pump production process. Afterwards, they visited our Research and Development Center, where they had the opportunity to see the pumps in action and concretely test their performance under real operating conditions.
We sincerely thank Costieri d’Alesio S.p.A. and our local partner for participating in this technical in-depth day. We are confident that this meeting was fruitful and represented a solid starting point for future developments and increasingly synergistic collaborations.
