Installation of Series J pumps inside the facility
Varisco pumps were installed at the separator, a key component of the system, to extract the residues from the paper processing phases (air, gases dissolved in water, and fibrous suspensions).
The close collaboration with Varisco and the use of self-priming pumps with a semi-open impeller have significantly optimized the production flow. The installed pumps, model JE 3-210, are used to transfer water from the separator to the filtration, purification, and sedimentation systems.
Advantages of Self-priming J Series pumps in paper industry
The ability to generate high levels of vacuum, operate in conditions where air bubbles are present, and handle fluids with fibers and solid particles in suspension make the J series pumps a reliable and particularly suitable solution for the application.
The ability to generate a vacuum by self-priming allows the expulsion of air and gas from the connected system, making them particularly reliable during the extraction of process fluids from systems that involve negative relative pressure phases.
This feature makes them extremely reliable in applications and plants where the correct management of process fluids significantly impacts productivity and operating costs.
At the Fabbriche di Vergemoli plant, during an interview about the optimization of the paper mill systems, Engineer Moutier, Mr. Orsi, and Mr. Marcheschi shared their experience following the installation of Varisco self-priming pumps:
The collaboration between Cartiera del Borgo and Varisco represents a concrete example of how the partnership between customer and supplier, combined with the correct technological application, can improve the efficiency of industrial processes, while also contributing to more sustainable resource management.
